Archishman Ray Goswami is a Non-Resident Associate Fellow with the Strategic Studies Programme at the Observer Research Foundation, New Delhi.
His work focusses on the intersections between intelligence activity and international politics. He is particularly interested in the role of emerging technologies in shaping the future of intelligence and warfare, and how intelligence is instrumentalized by states to geopolitical ends through backchannel dialogue, its exchange through liaison, and as a means of strategic communications.
Presently, Archishman is a DPhil International Relations candidate at the University of Oxford’s Department of Politics and International Relations. Based at Green Templeton College, his doctoral research examines intelligence diplomacy and its use as a device of modern statecraft. Prior to the DPhil, Archishman completed his MPhil in International Relations at Oxford (2023-2025), as well as the BA in International Relations (2019-2022) and MA in National Security Studies (2022-2023) at the Department of War Studies, King’s College London.
