
Aleksei Zakharov is a Fellow with ORF’s Strategic Studies Programme. His research focuses on the geopolitics and geo-economics of Eurasia and the Indo-Pacific, with particular emphasis on Russia’s foreign policy towards South Asia and India-Russia relations.
Previously, Aleksei was a Post-doctoral Fellow at HSE University, Moscow, and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He also was a Visiting Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), Gateway House, the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), and the French Institute of Geopolitics at the University of Paris 8.
