Location: New Delhi

Expertise: The Graphic Designer is expected to support the Media and Communications team in the day-to-day activities, internal and external events, and high-level forums. They should be proficient in working with design softwares such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva. They should have an eye for detail, a cohesive and aesthetic design sensibility, and a basic knowledge of English and Hindi languages. 

Their day-to-day duties include rendering web and social media creatives, designing report layouts and covers for ORF publications, producing high-volume outputs during big forums and events, and reviewing the finished product to catch mistakes before submitting it for publication. 

The Graphic Designer should be comfortable with handling both offline and online editing tools. 

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Design Visual Assets: Create infographics, data visualisation charts and illustrations, graphic materials to communicate key findings from research reports, policy briefs, and other publications. Create daily web and social media graphics for promotions of events hosted by the organisation. 
  • Maintain Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual materials adhere to ORF’s brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across various platforms and mediums.
  • Multimedia Production: Assist in the creation of multimedia content, including video animations and interactive graphics, to enhance and engage diverse audiences across various platforms. 
  • Digital and Print Design: Develop graphics for digital platforms, including social media, websites, and email newsletters, as well as print materials such as brochures, posters, and design Conference identities and event collaterals during large-scale Forums anchored by ORF. 
  • Creative Strategy: Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions and provide innovative ideas for visual storytelling and communication strategies. 
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of design work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
  • Quick turnaround time for digital and print graphics as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Digital Media is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with editing software, especially Adobe tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Knowledge of Canva is an added asset. 
  • Excellent in-person and online graphic production skills.
  • Training in multimedia and communications helpful.
  • General understanding of computers, softwares, and digital equipments, with an understanding and knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology.
  • Has a creative eye for improvements in style, aesthetic, design, cultural influence in designs etc.
  • 3-4 years of experience is preferred.
