Vivek Sahai is Distinguished Fellow at Observer Research Foundation in Mumbai, superannuated from the apex post of Chairman Railway Board in June 2011. An erstwhile officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service, Mr Sahai has extensive experience in managing railway operations. During his various stints in the Zonal Railway headquarters and Railway Board handling traffic and transportation on railways, he gained a firm understanding of railway statistics and finances.
