Var Shankar is Executive Director at the Responsible AI Institute. An attorney by background, Var advises organizations on AI governance and technology policy. He is also a Co-Instructor of Kaggle’s AI Ethics course. Var formerly practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP’s office in New York, where he worked on capital markets and banking matters. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Duke University.
