Thomas Elmar Schuppe joined ORF in September 2013 as a Senior Fellow with the collaboration of The Centre for International Migration and Development. (CIM is the competence centre for global labour mobility in the international cooperation activities of the German Government). After graduating in economics with special focus on environmental/ecological economics, Schuppe worked at the Institute for Energy Economics at the University of Cologne (EWI) for about seven years. He gained professional expertise in the German energy industry while working with RheinEnergie AG in Cologne as a Contract Manager for Energy Procurement and at RWE Supply & Trading dealing with strategic planning and market analysis.
