Dr. Matthias Catón is the Managing Director of the German Maritime Centre, Germany’s think tank for the maritime industry. The Centre works across ports, shipping, shipbuilding, maritime logistics and offshore topics. Dr. Catón is an expert on international relations and global business. During India’s G20 presidency, he co-chaired a Think20 task force on reassessing the global financial order. A political scientist, he holds a doctorate from the University of Heidelberg.
