Manjushree Banerjee is an independent researcher focusing on energy transition and agricultural economics. From 2002 to 2018, she worked with various organisations, including The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), for a decade. Before working with TERI, she engaged with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), the Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG), the West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency (WBREDA) and the Council for Advancement of Peoples Action and Rural Technology (CAPART). Her work as a researcher and practitioner precisely focused on energy access and policy, agricultural economics, and rural technologies and livelihoods. She holds a postgraduate degree in agricultural economics, and her doctoral research focuses on energy policy. She has worked in many remote and rural locations across India.
